Our recent performance at Alte Feuerwache Mannheim with Schmid’s Huhn was not only a joy on stage, but also received a warm and insightful review on Jazzpages.
The article captures the essence of our set—highlighting both the complex compositional elements and the open, playful spirit that defines our group’s sound. It’s always rewarding to see how the music resonates, especially in a space like the Alte Feuerwache, where the energy between band and audience feels so immediate and alive. Also in the first half I played my first ever saxophone solo concert, very exciting!
Thank you to everyone who came out to share the evening with us, and to Frank Schindelbeck for the thoughtful words.
