The Subway Jazz Orchestra will play at Club Subway two more times this year. On October 5 we have the outstanding Joris Roelofs as a guest. I was happy to arrange two of his compositions for the orchestra and I am looking forward to being in front of the band again. Then in November we have the great composer Ursula Reicher as a guest. Come by and enjoy the orchestral fireworks. Going to be fantastic…

This concert happened already some time ago. It was a beautiful and spontanous get together by all new professors at the University of Performing Arts in Mannheim. We had a great time on stage at “Alte Feuerwache”, where we could finally connect musically. During everyday teaching, this usually takes too much of a back seat. And Patricia Truchsess has captured the good mood in wonderful pictures.

The new duo album HRINGFERÐ is officially released today. In this project Lars and I are exploring our icelandic roots through music. The album was co-produced by the german radio station Deutschlandfunk and recorded at the wonderful LOFT in Cologne during a three hour session for the “Cologne Duets” series. CD and Download is available on Bandcamp.
